Our website hosting and email hosting platforms use security features to prevent hackers. Hackers often use robots to try to break into the system using lots of different passwords, to try to guess yours.
If our hosting platforms detects activity, such as multiple failed passwords in a short time period, the system will block your IP address. (An IP address is a unique address that identifies a device on the internet or network).
If you have entered a password for your email or website, incorrectly into your phone or laptop or PC, the device will try multiple times to login, and it will fail, this will trigger a block on your IP address.
Instructions
- To unblock your IP address, first you need to check all your devices and ensure you are using the correct passwords and usernames.
- Once you are certain your login details are correct in your mail apps, eg: iOS mail, Outlook explorer etc. then you need to find your IP address and let us know what it is.
- Click https://whatismyipaddress.com. And tell us the IPV4 number that appears at the top of the page (it will look like this 92.40.194.88)
- Once you tell us your IP address, we will pass this on to the hosting company, who will enter it into the security system to unblock it.
- You should then be able to access your website and emails.
- If you still cant access your site, then you must still have an incorrect password in your devices, that is causing the IP address to be blocked again, after it was unblocked. Find the device, correct the password then let us know your IP address again for us to try to unblock.
